In a selection, you can select a part of an image. This often is used to highlight a part of a photo. You can also use a mask for a selection. Move: The move layer can be used to make a copy of a layer. This is useful in places where you want to copy the same image on the same layer, but on the opposite side. Warp: The warping layer is also often referred to as the distort layer. This layer can be used to warp or distort an image. Opacity: Opacity layers are used to change the amount of transparency in an image. There is an opacity control at the top of the Layers palette. Background: There is a Background layer that works just like a regular layer. It will stay visible in the same way that you can add and remove regular layers.
